Why was Karl on Radio Wales?
I enjoy Òall things British.Ó Kristin and I watch many DVDÕs from the
Public Library of British TV shows.
I enjoy reading both British Fiction and Non-Fiction books.
Eventually I found out that
you can listen to all of the BBC (British Broadcast Corporation) radio channels
on the internet http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/
as well as Radio, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
I was listening to Radio
Wales and they had a program on the ukulele. The host was interviewing a uke performer about the
instrument and local groups that play ukuleles. I checked the Radio Wales website, to see what was
playing. I thought that it was the
Chris Needs show but it was actually Adam Walton from the Adam and Mal show.
I decided to email the show,
telling them that I had played ukulele for a time and then graduated to the
guitar. I sent the email to Chris
Needs via his webpage. http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/sites/chrisneeds/
A few minutes later, I
received a reply back from Chris saying if I would send my phone number they
would call me. I was quite surprised
but did send the number. I didnÕt
hear from them.
The next night I was sitting
at home after dinner and my phone rang.
It was a producer from the Chris Needs show saying Chris would call me
back in 10 minutes if I was willing to talk to him. I was. He
called and we had a wonderful chat.
You can hear this 10 minutes conversation here in
